Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) incorporates multiple treatment approaches that have research demonstrated effectiveness with a wide variety of problems including depression and anxiety disorders. CBT是一个相对简短的, 面向目标的, 直截了当的, and collaborative approach to psychotherapy, which includes use of multiple strategies, all intended to facilitate change in unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviors.

CBT is most beneficial for those who are motivated for change and are willing to collaborate on treatment planning and follow through on helpful practice exercises between sessions.
The CBT program within the 成人精神科诊所 tailors a CBT approach for each patient’s needs. Therapists within our program are trained in a variety of evidence-based treatments including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), 长时间暴露(PE), Mindfulness-Based interventions, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), 认知治疗(CT), and communications skills training.

  1. 博士联系. Robbi Saletsky (Director) at 315-464-3115 or Brian Butler, RN at 315-464-3272 to inquire about availability of openings in CBT program.
  2. Check insurance coverage and complete intake questionnaires which will be sent to you.
  3. Set up initial intake appointment. (This meeting will determine if program is the right fit for you).
  4. You will be instructed to return intake packet prior to session or bring packet to first appointment.

You will either be seen by Dr Saletsky or by a 精神病学 resident or Psychology intern who will be supervised by a senior CBT provider.

As this is a hospital training department, all sessions will be videotaped for purposes of review for supervision or for teaching purposes.
